Grocery Cart Challenge Recipe Swap

This weeks recipe is one of the fastest, most nutritious, and highly requested breakfasts that we have at the Bryant house.

Yogurt Fruit Parfaits

Vanilla Yogurt
Granola Cereal
Fresh, Canned or Frozen Fruit of Choice

Just layer the ingredients in a clear parfait or drinking glass and hand them a spoon. We've used fresh sliced bananas, frozen blueberries, and canned peaches with much success. We also get our granola from the bulk section at Win-co to keep costs down. This just isn't worth it if you are buying a box of $5 packaged granola. Or...you could always make your own with this recipe.

To participate please make sure to enter the link that goes directly to your post (not your home page) and make sure to include a link back here from your post.

We do the parfait with store brand Grape Nuts. The nuggets, not the flakes. I think a box is almost $3 (more than my price point for cereal) but we only use a few teaspoons, and it lasts forever. I've never tried canned peaches with it, but I bet it would be great.

We love yogurt parfaits, too! :) To make them gluten-free, or if we don't have granola on hand, we just layer with a mixture of chopped nuts, seeds, and dried fruit (like a trail mix) with the yogurt. Yum!

Blessings,
Michele
