I'm getting to look at your recipes for the week. Maybe find a new one for us. I wanted to let you know that I finally took the plunge and filled a nearly empty gallon of 2% with a quart of reconstituted milk. I was serving it with chili that was on the spicy side so I knew the kids wouldn't be super picky. They were none the wiser and I will do it again today to stretch out that milk budget.

Thanks for all of your inspiration!

I just want you to know that seeing this week after week has finally started to wear me down. I'm really trying to get a grip on my grocery budget. It's only me, hubs, and one tiny 13 month old, so we shouldn't spend a lot. But we do! Both son and I are dairy and gluten allergic, so shopping for bargain items that fit our diet are REALLY hard!

But I'll keep trying. Thanks for the inspiration...

I have a dumb question although I have always heard no question is dumb this one feels like it lol. So here it is do you make several trips out to do your shopping or do you take a cooler or what. I am just trying to figure out how you keep your cold items from spoiling while going to different stores.

Thanks for any insight. I am new to your sight and I am trying to crack down on our budget too so I would love the tips!

Where is S&S Grocery Liquidators? Never heard of that!

Love the reduced meat at Safeway and the "Today's Special" stickers at Raley's.
