Do you use the vanilla bean in the puffed pancake?

Thanks,

No, I'll leave that part out because of the expense. Sounds good though.

Yes, it sounds delicious! I have a recipe that is similar (Dutch Baby) but it doesn't have as many eggs and no sugar. You cook it in your cast iron skillet. I like your's b/c of more eggs, and I love vanilla.

The way that I first had this kind of thing was at a German Resturaunt in GA and the served it by spreading some butter on it then sprinkled powdered sugar and then squeezed lemon over it. I am not a huge lemon fan but this is out of this world w/ the lemon. The last time I made it I didn't have any fresh lemons so I spread a little lemon curd on it and no butter or powdered sugar. Anyway, just thought I'd share in case you want to try something new. I will definitely try this recipe.

Thanks,
Shan

I see the Senate Soup on your menu a lot. do you have that many ham bones or do you use something else? Like I was wondering if I added ham boulion if that might work and be cheaper since I do not have a ham?

I had a ham bone last week that was leftovers for the soup and this week I'm making it with my last hunk of ham that I froze from a birthday dinner. I bet you could make this meatless though. It's such a thick hearty soup.
