Thanksgiving approaches and the turkey deals come with it. This week I'm planning on buying my Turkey at Win-co. They are having a special where if you spend $50 you get your turkey for 24 cents a pound. I'm digging that price and hoping to buy one for this year and a spare for my freezer to eat towards the end of winter. This week we have a few more parties on the agenda which means NO cooking for me. In the meantime, this is what we're eating this week.
Breakfasts (kids help themselves and have these choices)
Oatmeal with raisins, pancakes or muffins from the freezer, fruit and yogurt smoothies, toast and eggs.
Dinners
Breakfast Night (eggs and toast)
Tortellini soup with buttery bread machine rolls
Pulled Pork Sandwiches and Broccoli Salad
Baked Potato Bar with chili, cheese, salsa or steamed broccoli for toppings
Party Night
Leftover Buffet
Party Night
Check back tomorrow for the shopping trip.

I thought I was doing good getting my turkey for .25 per pound. I may go back and get another for the freezer, too. I love the holiday sales in my area.

I love a planner. Yours looks great - it brings back happy memories of my young mom days. Honestly, saving money and being creative with meals when my son was little is one of my fondest (and proudest) memories. You go mom!!
too bad there wasn't a way to get fresh ones at this price and make your own ground turkey and freeze it for future use.............
I got my 14 pound bird for $7 at Safeway my DIL got a 22# for $9. I'm going back to get another one because I got a coupon for a turkey up to 16# for $6 at Safeway. This coupon is already on my savings card since they started their new on the card coupon program.
