A few weeks ago I wrote a post about my love of all things butter and I got an email from a creamery saying they wanted to send me some of THEIR butter. It was strange but I checked them out, they seemed legit and I sent off my mailing address thinking...
#1 I hope I didn't just give my address to some crazy person and
#2 There is no way some one is just going to send me butter.
Today I had a present on the doorstep. A giant insulated cooler from Alcam Creamery way far away in Wisconsin. I giggled like a school girl and opened it up to find 10 different kinds of butter!
Seriously.
They didn't want anything in return. There wasn't a sales pitched letter attached. They didn't ask me to advertise or even tell anyone that I received it. But I'm telling you because these people sent me free butter.....and I think I love them.
And I'm still giggling even though I got the package 2 hours ago.
Thanks for the Valentine Alcam Creamery! I can't wait to dig in.

Now THAT is a Valentine's day present to remember! Every since finding out how margarine is made and what goes into it (eeewwww!!), we switched to only real butter. Mmmm!
10 kinds?! What types, I am curious :)
That is awesome. A cooler of butter.
Mmmm...butter! I didn't even know there are different kinds besides salted & unsalted. I just checked their website, the hand rolled looks interesting!
Butter? On your doorstep? I would think I had died and gone to heaven!!
Wow! How lucky you are, and how wonderful this creamery is!
Oh wow! That is a lot of butter. You must be drooling thinking of all the yummies you can make your family with this! I can't wait to see what you come up with.
Real butter is so much better than that stuff they try to pass off in the stores. Congratulations Gayle on your Valentine!
I love Cheese but I don't think I would be successful getting it to show up on my door step.
Seriously! That really is the best Valentine's Day gift. I think now I will have to use that as the yardstick by which I will measure future Valentine's Day gifts! Yum!
May we call you Paula D.? How cool. What was the first one you tried?
Wow... What a great gift! I would be making Butter cookies ....homemade bread and slathering it on hot!! I could go on and on!
Marvelous! I don't think I've ever had 'real' butter... I am just happy not be using margarine :)
