This sounds so good, I make something similar but I love trying new cakes! Thanks for sharing.
This is very similar to the Small Chocolate Cake we make (on our blog), except ours has an egg and skips the butter and vinegar. Yours sounds good too!
We had the German Puffy Pancake today for lunch, and my ten-year-old shook my hand afterwards and said she loved it. I really like your recipe links--am planning on making Bierrocks sometime soon too. (I finally found out where the name Bierrocks came from--it's actually a mutation of the word Pirog, or perogies. If you kind of mumble "berogies," you can hear the connection.)
i might try the cake this weekend. We seem to get the late night munchies for something sweet but no one wants to go to the store. Everything for this I already have.
I love the recipe swap idea! Your cake sounds so easy and DE-lish.
Sounds delicious. Do you think this cake has a consistency that will stand up to carving? My boys love to have shaped cakes and I've been looking for a good "carving cake" recipe.
You know, normally when I carve and frost cakes I freeze them first so they don't fall apart. So I'm sure it would hold up to that.
The cake recipes sounds easy and delicious. I always have those ingredients on hand too so I'm looking forward to trying it.
Thanks!
This is a yummy cake. I have a similar crazy cake recipe I grew up with. I especially like the fact that it doesn't call for eggs so it is something I can do in a pinch.
Thanks for sharing!
This cake sounds wonderful. I will have to try it since I don't like icing.
I made this tonight! DELICIOUS!!! I sprinkled some confectioner sugar on top I will use this recipe over and over.
