Menu Plan Monday

Welcome to a new week in October. The weather has changed here in the Pacific Northwest to rain, rain and more rain. Which really means lots of comfort food and roaring fires in the fireplace.

I'm not complaining. I love the whole snuggle-in and hunker-down feeling of fall.

Breakfasts

Oatmeal with dried fruit, brown sugar and walnuts
Oatmeal...again (quick breakfast before soccer games)
Sliced Bananas in milk with cinnamon

Dinners

Lentil Burritos with tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, sour cream
Mac & Cheese, Baked Beans, Tomato Salad
Perogy Lasagna, mixed veggies
Leftovers

Snacks

Stay tuned tomorrow for the shopping trip results...

Great menu. Skillet Taco Macroni sounds close to a dish that I make.

From the Pacific NW here too. We certainly did get the rain this weekend. Good thing we are used to it, huh? :)

Yup, we are having the same weather, though yesterday was unexpectedly lovely and sunny. This morning hubby started the fire while I was still upstairs, so that was cozy to come down to. Anyways, back to your post- I am going to try your lentil burritos out on my carnivorous hubby and see what he thinks.

We love perogy lasagna...now I have to work out a way to lower the sodium in it.

Gayle-
That posole looks good! Pork ribs are usually pretty cheap around here! I'll have to look into this one for next month!
Yummy eats this week!

I made the Lentil/Rice Tacos for dinner tonight, and su-prise su-prise, this carnivore LOVED them and was NOT left craving meat! :) It was a hit with the whole family, and the picky eater who said, "is this that weird stuff again?" (referring to the lentils) cleaned her plate with no complaints. Thanks, Gayle!!! :)

Menu looks great as usual. It's is funny to hear you all talk about a fire as I sit here in Texas with the AC running!! Fall has always been my favorite time of the year and I just hate that when we go to the pumpkin patch we are wearing shorts! I really need to move your way so I can really enjoy fall.

I found your blog a few weeks ago. I can't remember how, but I have been a faithful reader and have sent the link to many different friends. Your shopping has inspired me, as well as your menus. Currently, YOU are my menu plan :). This morning we had the German pancakes and I think it's one we will use again. THANKS!!

I just found your website today Mrs.X suggested it on Spousebuzz.com "Have I been wasting my money?" which was in an e-mail from military.com. Anyways I spend way too much on groceries and I'm thankful to find your site. We will be trying the lentil burritos tonight and I will be following your menus and suggestions thanks a bunch!
