It's only fair that if I'm spreading the linky love than you do too. If you skip this step you might catch me on a grumpy day and I just might delete your link. And if you are a spammer mis-using this linky....be prepared to automatically be deleted. I hope that wasn't too snarky but YES, even the grocery cart challenge lady has pet peeves. And if you've already been doing this THANK YOU!

Gotta love the cutie on the end... but didn't see the price on the list! :)
Great job, I wish I had more grocery choices like you do. Thanks for doing Mr. Linky!!
How much was that cute little guy?
You did a great job shopping this week!

Great job you are such an inspiration I am excited to participate!
How in the world do you get by with not having to buy toilet paper since October 7th?
Hi there- what do you store your bulk baking supplies (such as cocoa or sugar) in?
Ugh! I do the Grocery Game and I did my shopping trips yesterday. I had everything ready to go, including the receipts, and I forgot to take a picture! Hopefully next week I can join you.
Ahh the TP question. I've been getting that one alot lately. I had a friend who found one of those huge Costco packages of TP at one of our local grocery outlets and she was so excited that she bought two and drove straight up to my house to give me one of them. That's a true frugal friend that we bring me the gift of toilet paper. That was a few weeks ago so I'll probably run out by the end of this week....maybe next. I also have a housefull of boys that don't need nearly as much TP as us girls do. So it lasts a bit longer than a house full of girls.
I would love to find bulk sugar, cocoa, and popcorn like you have--but I don't think any of my local stores carry it...I'll be looking out for it!! That's a great price on 3 lbs. of brown sugar!
Love your blog!
I'd like to know what kinda casserole you'll be cookin' up with those tampons ? LOL
How in the world do you buy a bag of Starbucks coffee for $3.49? That is fabulous!
Love your blog! You are an awesome shopper!
I would also like to know where you found Starbucks coffee for $3.49, two salad dressings for 49 cents, and margarine sticks for .89? Are you shopping at some special discount store or using coupons?
I've been lazy the past few weeks and haven't put down WHERE I've been getting this stuff. The starbucks and low cal spray dressings were from S & S liquidators and the margarine was from Win-co.
I am going to so try and do this next week! It's part of my new years resolution...cool huh!

P.S.Say a prayer for me cuz...this looks like a lot of work...and I will say a prayer for you Gayle...cuz girl you rock to do this for your family and us!
I am so excited to join you in the GCC Round up. This will help hold me accountable to my budget after all it will be in black and white for the whole world to see.
As always you did a great job on your shopping trip.
have you ever done a post on whther or not you cvs?
I'll be joining next week...I usually shop on the weekend for groceries, and of course I didn't take a pic!
This has nothing to do with your post but I know how much you love homemade stuff!! Homemade fruit and veggie wash! http://www.recipezaar.com/Homemade-Vegetable-Wash-That-Works-Spray-or-Soak-300387
I am totally inspired! I have been watching and learning and I am ready for my first shopping trip. Thank you for all you are teaching me!
Thank you so much for doing Mr. Linky, Gayle!
Very nice!
I usually get my brown sugar at Sam's club, and then I dump several bags (about 6 lbs total) in a platic container with a lid, and I keep one of those terra cotta bears in there (you have to rewet them about every 5 weeks or so) and it keeps my brown sugar soft.
They also sell popcorn in a 50 lb bag. We dumped ours in a 6 gallon food safe plastic bucket (it almost fit, so we made popcorn right away with the little bit that didn't fit :) ) and we keep some in a canning jar with a lid to use on a regular basis (no lid and it doesn't pop as fluffly).
We do toliet paper all at once, too; I only get it about twice a year and I fill under the sinks in all the bathrooms.
Thanks for the Mr. Linky. I've never done this before, I guess it isn't too hard. I love your blog and impressed at the way you take care of your family so well. Also is winco a place where you can buy things in bulk? Sorry I live in the midwest, I was curious if you had to pay any membership fee to shop there?
Win-co is probably similar to an Aldi's. It's a chain store that sells groceries at really low prices. There is no membership fee and things come in regular sizes.
This is awesome, Gayle! Thanks for the added accountability!!
Aldi's is actually a LOT like grocery outlet and they don't sell bulk things unfortunately :(

I have been working the frugal shopping since my husband went back to school last June. I can usually stick to my budget monthly but am up and down per week because I am constantly working on food storage. Can't live without it because it got us through those first few hard months. How do you compensate for food storage or stocking your cupboards for a rainy day?
I love Winco. That store has helped me so much in trying to keep to a food budget. Really enjoy your site!
Don't you just love WinCo?! Though I think that yours might be a few cents cheaper on everything than mine, but we're in a different area too, so that's not surprising! Enjoyed the Mr. Linky!
Ok, Gayle - I said that I would add the linky link to my blog, but I don't understand how!
I really love looking over your site.
Hey - the Thai Peanut Sauce is at Prospector's Liquidators right now for only 50 cents!!!!! It is soooo yummy - I had a can of coconut milk from the liquidators to stretch it.
See you at Friday School!
Donna
I just found out about the Diva Cup. (Men you won't need this.) I ordered one after reading many positive things about it.
No more buying tampons/pads etc.
See what you think.
Google it Diva Cup.
