I finished my garden fence today. This was no small feat since I was on my own building it. It's way beyond my ability level to build stuff but I did it and I've been breaking my arm patting myself on the back today. It's definitely a girl fence but if it keeps the elk and deer out than I'm a happy girl. I should finally be able to get all my plants in the garden tomorrow.
Been cooking this yummy Crockpot Mac & Cheese today for the rest of the family while I'm off tonight helping a friend run through a dress rehearsal for her dance studio. (See my recipe in my previous Menu Plan Monday post.)
Hope your day has been productive!

Looks awesome! I'm so jealous! A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do! ;)
Is the lattice for your green beans???? I have been working on a tire garden and am trying to figure out what I'm going to do for the green beans. Was thinking about circling the tires with chicken wire but I could do a piece of lattice in back of the two tires easy enough too.
The fence looks great. Good job! The crock pot mac and cheese looks so yummy! Hugs, Bobbi Jo
AWESOME fence!! You go girl! I will be making the mac n cheese too.
*S*
The lattice is for the beans, cukes and peas. I'm not sure what's going where yet. The only reason I used lattice is because I salvaged it from a certain death and it was gloriously free!
It looks great!
I love it....looks great!
that is a great fence! What counts is that you can now plant your garden. We are harvesting lettuce from ours and loving it.
Great looking fence! How did you do a gate for it? Did you buy a premade or construct your own? We need to fix the fence that came around the garden plot at our new property but the gate part keeps causing me issues.
Yeah, the gate has been a problem for us too. Right now a giant piece of plywood is going to block the entrance while I plant today. But we are looking at a pre-made gate that would be much sturdier than anything I would build, just because it's going to get so much use.
