The Unshopping Unplanned Menu For Today

We managed to eat well today while shopping from my own cupboards and fridge instead of grocery shopping this week.

For breakfast we had The Best Ever Waffles with blueberries and Homemade Syrup. The waffles were melt-in-your-mouth good. I highly recommend this recipe.

Lunch was hard boiled eggs, applesauce and grapes. Sorry no picture but it wasn't that inspiring.

And dinner was Spaghetti and Broccoli.

This might get interesting by the end of the week but I'm enjoying the creative challenge in the meantime.

when I was growing up we either used karo dark syrup for pancakes/waffles or brown sugar melted and blended into water for syrup. Grandpa used corn cobs( remove corn first) and boiled them for about 30 min and then cooked that water down until thick. I prefer that on corn "pancakes"
