Menu Plan Monday

My menu's have felt a little uninspired lately so I tried to bring on some new recipes this week. I have a chicken carcass from last week that I ended up not using as well as some ground beef so those will be the base of a few meals. I also had the baking bug and managed to make four dozen rolls to store in my freezer so I'll be drawing on those this week.

Breakfasts

Bread Machine Cinnamon Buns and homemade applesauce
Brown Rice Farina with almonds and raisins
Poached eggs, sausage links and toast
Pancakes and homemade syrup
Leftover muffins or pancakes

Dinners

Homemade Chicken, Noodle, and Veggie Soup with Buttery Bread Machine Rolls
Whole Crockpot Chicken, rolls, garden salad
Gnocchi alla Romana, garlic sauteed broccoli
Leftover Buffet

Check back tomorrow to see how I shopped for this menu to feed six of us for $60.

Also this week I'll be doing a tutorial on the easiest homemade yeast bread recipe without a bread machine. Even a beginner can do this one and you'll make yourself look like a pro.

And for more great menu's go HERE.

Haha - it must be a beef stew kind of week, mine is simmering in the crockpot right now! I'll be anxiously awaiting your bread making post - can I just make a TEENY request for notes on how to make it without the bread machine? I have a fabulous stand mixer but no bread machine :)

Yep, it's a NO bread machine recipe. You'll love it.

When you make your bread machine rolls, how do you freeze them? Before or after cooking?

Thanks! I'm a big fan of you and your frugalness, just wish we had discount stores even remotely close! (1 1/2 hours is the closest.)

Beth,

I freeze them after they are cooked and then just warm then in the microwave.

Gale have you ever tried the beef potato casserole in the crockpot?

Cindy,

I haven't tried it in the crock but it looks like it would work.
