Menu Plan Monday

Yahoo! Let the feasting begin.

I'll be hosting Thanksgiving at my house for 9-ish and we're splitting the work load. We'll eat a very light breakfast since our feast will be at lunchtime and then that evening we visit the other side of the family for dessert. On Saturday is our final Thanksgiving where I'm off the hook and only have to bring a salad.

I'm pretty sure the budget will be blown but I planned for it. I'm going to do my best to keep it reasonable though. Check back tomorrow to see how I did.

Here's what the week will look like at our house.

Breakfast

Oatmeal and pears
Poached eggs and toast
Fruit and yogurt smoothies with bagels
Toast and fruit
Yogurt and granola parfaits
Leftover muffins

Dinners

Spaghetti and green beans
Sausage gravy and biscuits with fruit cups
Soup from the freezer and rolls
Roast turkey sandwiches
Leftover night

Have you ever heard of shelf milk? Is so, can you use it in a baking recipe?

Can I ask how you plan for lunches and what type of things you have? I love how you get such variety into your meals! Your breakfasts are so different to ours over here!

I was recently using hand sanitizer and wondered , this is basicaly alcohol. Would you by any chance know of a "recipe" for it?
Love your blog!

Thought I would share this tip from a friend of mine. When making apple pies, she uses cold apple cider instead of water in her pie dough -- can't wait to try it.
