Grocery Cart Challenge Recipe Swap

It's getting close to St. Paddy's day and I really look forward to having corned beef. (I can skip the cabbage...blech.) So this is a link to our tried and true recipe. We use a high quality beer for this and it comes out tender and flavorful PLUS it's a no brainer recipe because you do it in the crock pot. I love those kind.

Just thought I'd let you know, as someone born and raised in Ireland, that corned beef and cabbage is an American thing, not an Irish one!! Yes, we did eat it occasionally growing up, but it's been turned into the thing to eat on St. Patrick's Day by America. When I'm asked to prepare an Irish dish, I tend to go for something like shepherd's pie or Irish stew - YUM!
