Christmas Shopping

I honestly hate the crowds at Christmas while I'm trying to shop. Black Friday? There isn't a deal in sight that would make me enter into that craziness. The older I get, the more peeved I get at people's rudeness.....and the touching. My personal-space bubble is large and having someone cough on the back of my head and bump into me a gazillion times while I'm standing in line waiting for an hour is pure torture. So my solution is either shopping when I know the crowds are low or online shopping at Christmas.

And you can still find amazing deals online if you know where to look. Here are just a few that I threw together to get you started.
  • In my left sidebar you'll find Amazon's biggest deals of the day.
  • Bath and Body works SALE page is HERE.
  • Aeropostale offers free shipping if you spend over $100. Clearance page is HERE.
  • We save lots of money by using Netflix. Give a Gift Subscription to a friend for as low as $9 for a month of instant streaming and DVD rental.
These are just a few ideas to get you started. Make sure and check your favorite online stores the day after Thanksgiving. The offers are still great, even if you don't leave your home.

I'm with you! I'll be doing all my shopping online this year, just like last year and the year before. I love a bargain, but I won't set foot in a store the day after Thanksgiving. I'll be home, in my pajamas, eating leftovers :)

Love your blog! I have been reading for a few months. Nice to see someone else with four kids and going to school! I'm with you on the after Thanksgiving Christmas shopping mess. I do not like crowds or the fact that I might get up early, freeze my butt off outside in line and not even get the item I went for in the first place! Online shopping and shopping on other weekends is much better. Happy Holidays!

I was in the Big City the other day and I had to leave Costco before I was done because I was overwhelmed at the rudeness of so many of the people. Things go so much smoother when everyone just takes their turn instead of every man for himself! I was so glad to get on the ferry and back to sanity!

I do most of my shopping on line too. Actually I shop year round, so after a few on line purchases, I'm done!

Hey Gayle,

I am 110% with you on shopping during the holiday season ... Yuck, Yuck and Yuck again.
I've been shopping via cataloge for years and during the past couple years I've started shopping via the internet.

Gayle, I have been a faithful reader for several years now. But you have never posted something I connect with as much as this. LOL!

I hear ya! I have already been online shopping and plan to do a little shopping in the next couple of days. There is already enough on sale for me to go now.

I'm all about online shopping! Save loads of money too. And no touching of the unpleasant or unwashed :)

BTW today the Disney store has a few $4.99 mini snowglobes left - free shipping with code SNOWBALL [no minimum]if you order one [for your whole order] Great for my littlest princess!

I'm nearly done with our holiday list - which is nauseatingly enormous - dozens of recipients that I barely know [business list] so even harder to choose for!

Now . . . the wrapping LOL
