Weekly Meal Plan & Shopping Trip

So, while planning my menu plan this week I had a whole bunch of stuff going on that affected my menu plan. Monday and Tuesday I’m out of the house most of the day so I had to plan meals that could be made ahead and reheated or fixed in the crockpot before I left and then finished when I got home. Plus I have two potlucks this weekend to prepare portable food for. And if that’s not enough I’m trying to eat light. A lot of these meals can be made lighter with a slight change of ingredients but a lot of the breakfast things are for the rest of the family while I gnaw on a piece of fruit. And…I’m down 2 pounds from last week. Woohoo! (Although I might have gained it back from all the good food I unrestrainedly ate over the holiday.)

You have so much good information here Gayle! My hubby suprised me by saying that he would be into eating vegetarian a couple of times a week. I remembered you suggesting that a while ago.

Thank you for all your great advice. I need a little advice on feeding a large group. We are having guests stay with us for a week. They have 6 people in their family and we have 5. That is a total of 11 people. I need cheat and quick ideas. Oh by the way, they don't eat anything that is not kosher. Help Please.

Looks like a great menu, and I am amazed at how much food you get for less than $60. :-)

I have made that same greek salad before, but instead of pasta I used couscous and a bottled greek salad dressing. YUMMY! :-)

Never mind you are soooo right. I should have stayed AWAY from CVS. Who needs 5 boxes of tampons and 10 deodorants in their cupboard?
