Grocery Cart Challenge Recipe Swap

I made these little yummies for a teen party last week. The minute I pulled a tray out, they disappeared so I'm thinking they were yummy. We served them with BBQ sauce to dip them in.

Mini Wiener Wraps

  • Little Smokies sausages
  • crescent rolls
Preheat oven according to directions on crescent roll package. Unroll but leave intact 2 triangles of crescent rolls to form a square. Pinch seam together and cut lengthwise into 5 strips and then cross-wise in 1/2 to make 10 strips. Roll each strip around one sausage and place in baking pan that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking oil. Bake according to crescent roll package directions. Serving with BBQ sauce for dipping or ketchup and mustard.

This also works really well with Pillsbury layers biscuits. Peel apart each biscuit into three layers. Place a Lil Smokie in the middle of each new round and wrap it up completely, closing the ends. Follow the directions on the biscuits to bake and you end up with little wrapped sausages. Great dipped in yellow mustard but you can also extract the sausage, eat it, and then fill the biscuit with jelly or honey. Yum!

Oh wow, my Mom used to make those with hotdogs for birthday parties. Did that ever bring back memories! Thanks for reminding me of them - I plan to make some soon!!

Oh that brings back memories. MY mom used to make these for us. ONly she just used regular hot dogs. I'm gonna have to do these for my kids so they are not deprived of a childhood memory!
