Hot Off The Press

I'd like to say welcome to those of you stopping by for the first time from The Daily News. I hope you find something useful here to help you spend less at the grocery store.

And for the regulars, here's the article that was printed today in my local newspaper.

If you see a family of 6 walking through the streets with matching dark sunglasses and scarves over our heads, that's probably us. The kids are having all kinds of fun thinking that they are now famous. Malachi has been practicing his autograph all morning.

And for the record, we don't really live in Castle Rock. Oops! We are in Longview.

That's so cool, Gayle, congratulations! :) You know what I really like about your blog? You do it realistically without coupons. It hits home for me because we don't really get many coupons where we live. Kudos to you for that! :)

Wohoo!! I'm so excited for you. :) It was really well-written and made you sound intelligent, a woman of faith, resourceful, and helpful! So what is next?

And holy cow!! 35,000 visits a month?!? Wowzers.

I loved it all. Even when it made me sound like I had a nervous breakdown and needed reinforcements flown in. :)

I'm proud of you.

Wow, I knew from your pictures of stores and such that you must live in the NW and probably in the Portland area. I recognized some of the pictures. Well, now I know why. I grew up about an hour from Longview and I have relatives in that area. I grew up in Vernonia about an hour away on the OR side. I miss OR so much. Now I live in OK. I love your blog keep up the good work.

Hi! I found you through the daily news and can't wait to regularly read your blog. We too try to be as frugal as possible and still eat healthy! Winco, Grocery outlet and trader joes are my regular trips as well as a few things from Costco. Loved your tips in the article.
