Menu Plan Monday

The first of many Christmas parties starts this week which means there's one night where I won't have to cook dinner. When you're preparing 21 meals per week, a night off is almost like a vacation.

Yeah for Christmas!

Breakfast

Omelette's and toast
Yogurt, granola and fruit parfaits
Irish Steel Cut Oatmeal with brown sugar and nuts
French toast
leftover pumpkin bread

Dinners

Dinner at a Christmas party
Freezer soup and rolls
Turkey and Dumplings, veggies and dip (made with leftover turkey and broth)
Scrambled eggs, toast and hash browns
Hot dogs and tater tots (I'm off to a girl party so this is for hubs and kids)
Leftover Buffet

Check back tomorrow to see how my $60 stretched for the six of us. And for more menu plans go HERE.

Hey Gayle,
I've been meaning to tell you for some time how much you've inspired me. I have been checking out your blog for about a year now and have gotten some great meal ideas. It seems we have a lot in common. I am a former homeschooling mom and have three boys like you (just missing the girl). I'm always always trying to find healthy, inexpensive, and creative ways to feed my always hungry family.
Thanks for the inspiration and keep up the good work!
Love
Vanessa, check out my blog sometime for all kinds of mom ideas at momsgotmanyhats.blogspot.com

It's nice to have a break from cooking.
Marcus and I just got back from his dental appointment. Their computer died so we drove out there for nothing. Then we spent a hour in traffic due the rain and wind. Ugh!
